Brannan, Jerome Lawrence

KATY, TEXAS/ MADISON - Jerome Lawrence Brannan, age 86, was born on May 12, 1918, in Mount Horeb, Wis., to Joseph and Sarah Coyle Brannan. The Brannan family included nine children and he was the youngest son. On Feb. 13, 1943, he married Ellen Estelle Gaffney at Madison. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and continued in the U.S. Army Air Corps Reserves, and retired as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. With continued service to veterans and their families, Mr. Brannan was a hospital administrator for the Veterans Administration. At the time of his retirement in February, 1980, he had given 40 years of service to the federal government. He retired after serving as the director of the Waco, Texas, V.A. Hospital for 10 years; he was previously the director of the Tomah V.A. Hospital. He was the first non-physician director of the Tomah and Waco V.A. hospitals. At his retirement, the chairman of the Veterans Affairs Committee, the Hon. Ray Roberts read a 'Tribute to Jerry Brannan' before the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. He outlined the many improvements and accomplishments Mr. Brannan had made during his service in the Veterans Administration. Mr. Brannan was very popular with the veterans as well as the V.A. Hospital employees. Mr. Brannan was an avid sportsman and enjoyed watching a good game. He coached little league football, basketball, and baseball. His favorite college sports teams included Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Baylor and Texas A&M. He also cheered for the Green Bay Packers, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Houston Rockets and Houston Astros. Mr. Brannan lived in Waco, Texas, for 30 years prior to moving to Katy, Texas, in December 2000. He believed strongly in service to one's community. He served on the advisory board at Providence Hospital in Waco, where he also served as a volunteer in the emergency room after his retirement and served with the hospital's auxiliary. He had been an active member of the Providence Hospital Founders Society. Mr. Brannan served as president of the United Way in Waco, served on the McLennan County Medical Education and Research Foundation, and the advisory committee for the Dean's Committee of Texas A&M Medical School. He was a member of the Association of Mental Health Administrators, a member of the Texas Hospital Association, an honorary director of the Waco Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Waco Downtown Rotary Club. Mr. Brannan was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus in Waco and in Katy, Texas, a life member of the Waco V.F.W. Post 1358, a member of Charter 3 of the Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Brannan was also very active in the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 229, in Waco. He was a charter member of the St. Jerome's Catholic Church, in Hewitt, Texas. Jerome Lawrence Brannan passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at his home in Katy at age 86 years. He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Ellen Brannan of Katy, Texas; his children, Tom and Suzanne Brannan of Arlington, Va., Terrence and Margi Brannan of Gainesville, Fla., Barbara and Chet Knobe of Jackson, Wyo., Patricia Brannan of Scandia, Minn., John and Beth Brannan of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Paul and Kathy Brannan of Katy, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren and one on the way. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers, especially Mrs. Mary Patina and Mrs. Donna Pope. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, in Katy, Texas, with Deacon Don Kish reciting. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison. Bullock, Cora Ann 'Corki'

MADISON - Cora Ann 'Corki' Bullock passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, surrounded by her loving family. Corki had battled cancer for 25 years. She was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Greenwood, Wis., to parents Erna (Vangsnes) and Herbert Schendel. She grew up on the family farm near Greenwood and graduated from Eaton Center Grammar School and Greenwood High School. She was active in numerous school activities and was the drum major for the marching band. After living in Phoenix, Ariz., and Madison, she moved more permanently to California where she was employed in advertising. She met Robert J. Bullock and they were married in Kaupulehu, Hawaii. She and Bob resided in Wildomar, Calif., where Corki enjoyed working with learning disabled children. She was always there to help the less fortunate. After her husband's death in 1990, Cora moved back to Madison to be near her family. She was employed at American Health and Safety and was able to work through January 21. Cora was a loving and generous person not only with her family but everyone she met. She was an avid animal lover, she loved cooking and baking, and found great pleasure gardening. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She is survived by her parents; two sisters, Judy (Darrell) Barth and Linda (Steve) Short; two brothers, Jon and Jim (Mary) Schendel; 11 nieces and nephews; a great-niece and five great-nephews. She dearly loved the little ones. Cora was preceded in death by grandparents; uncle, Clark Vangsnes; aunt, Bette Vangsnes; aunts Irene and Florence; and uncles, Leo, Henry and Edwin Schendel. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Brent Campbell at GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005. A luncheon celebrating Corki's life will be held immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Inurnment will be at St. Matthew's Cemetery, rural Wilton, at a later date. Bowman, Margaret

MADISON - Margaret Bowman, age 96, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. She was born on June 20, 1908, in Tunkhannock, Pa., to Isaac Thompson Kepperley and Marion Leighton Kepperley. When she was nine years old, she moved with her parents and brother, Samuel, to St. Paul, Minn. Her brother died in 1958. After completing her training at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis, Margaret worked at the hospital as a registered nurse, where she met and subsequently married Philip Bowman in St. Paul in August 1930. She opened a small bookshop and managed it until the birth of her first child. While raising three children, she led youth groups, such as the Camp Fire Girls and the Cub Scouts, and volunteered at the St. Paul Children's Hospital. Margaret was an early founder of the Early American Glass Club of Minnesota and was an active member until she and Philip moved to California in 1964. In 1984, the couple moved to Madison, where they enjoyed their late retirement years as residents of Oakwood Village West. Philip died in April 1993. In 1997, she and a cousin published a large genealogy of her mother's family in Scotland and America. Margaret is survived by her children, Elizabeth Bowman, Barbara Bowman Maas and Philip Bowman Jr.; four grandchildren, Patricia Maas Ralston, Carl Maas, Steven Bowman and Philip Bowman, III; and four great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express its special thanks to the staff of Hebron Oaks for their kind care and attention to Margaret over the past 13 months. Caputo, Anthony 'Tony'

MADISON - Tony Caputo, age 26, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005. He was born on July 18, 1978, and graduated from Memorial High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in business administration. As an athlete, he was an all-state wrestler in high school. Most recently, he was a valued employee at Keller Real Estate Group in commercial sales. Before that, he worked as a successful recruiter for two years at Atrium Staffing of New Jersey with his elder brother. Tony was conscientious, caring and always there with a helping hand. He was universally liked and will be deeply missed by all. His family and numerous close friends will share an enduring love for him. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Patti Caputo; brother, Bernie Caputo; sister, Danielle Caputo; fiancee, Sarah Shafer; grandmothers, Jane Kavanaugh and Rosemary Caputo; uncles and aunts, Maria and Dan Milsted, John and Chris Caputo, Kathy and Jim Uhault, John and Linda Kavanaugh, Tom Kavanaugh and Cathy OSullivan and Kevin and Colleen Kavanaugh; and numerous loving cousins. Code, William R.

MILWAUKEE/ GLEN HAVEN/ MISSION, TEXAS - William 'Papa' Code, age 84, left this earth on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2005, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born on Jan. 21, 1921, in Bradford, Ill., the son of William and Edna (Ryan) Code. On July 29, 1943, he married Henrietta 'Nell' Nellis. He proudly served as a pilot and an instructor in the United States Marines Air Corps during World War II. He worked in the insurance industry the majority of his career with Catholic Family Life Insurance in Milwaukee. He was given many awards and honors for his service with the National Fraternal Congress, Historical Society and the Knights of Columbus, but the honor of being a grandfather was his proudest. He had countless hours of enjoyment in good-natured ribbing with his children, grandchildren and friends. His passion for sports continued throughout his life. He thoroughly enjoyed being an usher for the University of Texas-Pan Am women's and men's basketball teams. His legacy continues with a son, Bill (Chris) Code of Milwaukee; three daughters, Ann (Vernon) White of Glen Haven, Mary (Bill) Johnson of Elm Grove, and Patricia (Richard) Fish of Paddock Lake; 20 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a brother, Phil (Liz) Code of Buda, Ill.; many nieces and nephews; friends and cherished neighbors; and a very special lady dear to him and very much appreciated by his children, Bunny Coder of Mission, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, on Oct. 4, 1994; his parents; brothers, Don and James; and sisters, Catherine Purtscher-Blaisdell and Mary Jean Smith. MADISON - Florence Colletti, age 94, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. She was the daughter of Robert and Clara McAusland. She was born, raised and graduated from high school in Poynette. Florence married Vincent Colletti on Aug. 20, 1940. Florence worked at the Wisconsin Historical Society for many years, and was a member of the Wisconsin State Historical Society Library. MADISON - Everett D. Daniels, age 70, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. He was born on Jan. 25, 1935, in Kendall, Wis., the son of Everett and Bonnie (Gibney) Daniels. Everett served in the U.S. Army for 18 years, retiring as a Spec 6. He married Sandra McMillan on July 30, 1955, in Mauston. They moved to Madison in 1986. Over the years Everett was a truck driver and a cook for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Headstart and Atwood Community Center. He enjoyed model cars, and puzzle books. Everett is survived by his wife, Sandra, Madison; two daughters, Kristine Mroz, Madison, and Laura Daniels, Australia; five grandchildren, Todd, Cassandra, Michael and Ashley Mroz and Mahallie Ellestad; two brothers, Earl (Shirley) and Roger (Yvette) Daniels; two sisters, Linda (Ralph) Babcock and Faye Stilen; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Dolphin, Susan A.

MADISON - Susan A. Dolphin, age 62, died on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. She was born on Oct. 23, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of Fred and Ann (Rolland) Sayles. She married James R. Dolphin in Rockford, Ill.; he preceded her in death on Dec. 30, 1989. She was employed by the state of Wisconsin in the Legislative Reference Bureau for many years. She belonged to the Hallmark Club and was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison. She was an avid antiques collector and enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Scott (Sharon) Dolphin of Madison; two grandchildren, Casey and Anna Dolphin of Madison; a brother, Ron Sayles of Madison; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Terry; and her father-in-law, Edwin. Gramza, Ruth M.

MADISON - Ruth M. Gramza, age 87, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at the Heartland Country Village in Black Earth. She was born on March 27, 1917, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Hubert and May Neitzke. Ruth graduated from the South Division High School of Milwaukee at age 16. She continued her education at the Milwaukee Lutheran School of Nursing, earning her degree in three years. Ruth was united in marriage to Richard Gramza on Dec. 7, 1940, in Milwaukee. After raising her family, she returned to nursing in 1969 as a private-duty nurse. She had a variety of interests including worldwide travel, searching for prized antiques and looking for four-leaf clovers. She is survived by a daughter, Gale Kooistra of Cross Plains; a daughter-in-law, Gayle Gramza of Viroqua; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Steve) Bell, Beth Leising, Michelle (Wallace) McHenry, Lesley (Ryan) Hornbeck, Laura (Brett) Butrick, Shelley (Ben) Beere, Richard (Dani) Gramza and Keith (Megan) Gramza; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Neitzke and Lee Neitzke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; a son, Keith, in 1987; her parents; and two brothers, Hubert and Kenneth Neitzke. Funeral services will be held at ST. Halamka, Frank Karel

MADISON - Frank Karel Halamka, age 63, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at his home. He was born on Aug. 17, 1941, to Mary R. (Cimino) and Charles J. Halamka. From 1961 until 1970 he was married to Watrina Watson. In 1980 he married Marcia (Skinrood) Doeringsfeld. His life was a tribute to the music he loved and the students he taught. He is survived by his son, Franklyn (Lisa) Halamka of Lewisville, Texas; daughter, Triana (David) Burrill of Torrington, Wyo.; son, Endre (Jean) Doeringsfeld of Madison; four grandchildren; half-sister, Christine (Charles) Kudija of Valencia, Calif.; and fiancee, Kimberley Nightingale of Chicago, Ill. Frank is preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Marcia. A memorial service will be held at BETHANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19, 2005. Kalen, Tillie

MADISON - Tillie Kalen, age 93, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at UW Hospital. She was born in Forest Park, Ill., to Jacob and Celia Hecht. She attended school in Sawyer, Mich., and Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University Law School in 1933 and was one of the first women to be admitted to the Illinois Bar. After practicing law in Chicago, she moved to Sterling, Ill., where she managed an unemployment office for the state of Illinois for 13 years. She then moved to Columbia, Md., where she worked in the legal division of the Bureau of Employment Security for the federal government. She retired in 1975. She enjoyed traveling and visited more than 35 different countries. She moved to Madison in 1991 to be with her daughter. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Meyer of Madison; four grandchildren, David (Nancy) Meyer of Daphne, Ala., Karen (Ed) Koijane of San Diego, Calif., Joel (Teresa) Meyer of Franklin, Tenn., and Rachel (Chip) Sauer of Fitchburg; and seven great-grandchildren. Kaufmann, John G.

TOMAHAWK/ BIRNAMWOOD - John G. Kaufmann, age 79, of Tomahawk, formerly of Birnamwood, died on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Riverview Terrace Nursing Home, Tomahawk. He was born on April 21, 1925, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Joseph and Theresa (Trumm) Kaufmann. On April 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Twaroski at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2001. John was formerly employed at Marathon Electric, Wausau, and operated a dairy farm in the town of Norrie. He later moved to Tomahawk to operate a resort until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, making sausage, but especially camping with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include six children, Jeff (Jacqueline) Kaufmann, Madison, Christine (John) Gray, Eagle River, Dennis (Connie) Kaufmann, Birnamwood, Constance (Bruce) FauFau and Kathleen Kaufmann, all of Tomahawk, and Matthew (Cathleen) Kaufmann, Madison; eight grandchildren, Sara, Justin, Margot, Courtney, Adam, Kody, Haley and Keagon; and two sisters, Marion (Edward) Matz Sr. and Lorraine (George) Twaroski, all of Birnamwood; and his beloved pet weiner dog, Schnapps. Pierstorff, Lola Rose

MADISON/ VERONA - Lola Rose Pierstorff, retired University of Wisconsin librarian and life-long resident of Wisconsin, died peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at Cherry Home, Verona, at age 88. Ms. Pierstorff was born in Maiden Rock, on Jan. 27, 1917, to the Rev. Charles Pierstorff and Lilah (Ragan) Pierstorff. Her father served for 25 years as a Methodist minister and raised his family throughout the communities of Maiden Rock, Livingston, Stanley, Mauston, LaFarge and Poynette. Lola Pierstorff received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her graduate degree in library science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Ms. Pierstorff built a rich and independent life and was warmly addressed as 'Lola' by hundreds of peers and students whose lives she touched. She developed the Instructional Materials Center at the School of Education and played an originating role in the Cooperative Children's Book Center. She was known as an unofficial ambassador for generations of students from Southeast Asia and Africa. She will be remembered for decades of work for the Lewis Carroll Shelf Awards, the Wisconsin Book Conference and the University of Wisconsin Credit Union, where she served on the board of directors. Ms. Pierstorff was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. Lola was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Charles, Arthur and Venora. Though she has no immediate family, Lola continued to have communication and visits with her cousins of the Pierstorff and Flemming families. Gratitude is extended to the fine staff at Cherry Home in Verona, HospiceCare Inc., and especially to the companions and caretakers from Supportive Elder Services who have worked lovingly since 1994 as Lola's advocates in celebration of her unique life. Raznikov, Seymour

MADISON - Seymour Raznikov, age 89, passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born in Newark, N.J., on Sept. 4, 1915, to Harry and Rose (nee Levy) Raznikov. In Maryland, on June 18, 1938, Seymour was united in marriage to Wilhelmina 'Min' Ciurczak. He attended Dana College, which later became Rutgers University. Seymour served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. In 1945 he moved to Racine, opening the first Air Force recruiting station in Racine. Early in his working career he owned and operated Madison Manufacturing in Elizabeth, N.J. In 1956 he moved to Madison, where he was the owner of the El Rancho Supermarket and later Packer Liquor. After retirement in 1986 he moved to Racine. He was an avid golfer until age 85. Surviving are two daughters, Lois Reimer of Madison, and Amy (Warren) Weber of Bolinas, Calif.; grandchildren, Todd (Alicia) Reimer of Hartland, and Kristi (Brian) Michalowski of Madison; great-grandsons, Tyler Reimer and Matthew Michalowski; and sister, Esther Cohen of West Orange, N.J. He is further survived by Fred Reimer of Naples, Fla.; other relatives; and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wilhelmina, on Sept. 24, 1990; parents; a sister, Jeanette Kleiman; and a brother, Irving Raznikov. Private services were held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711, have been suggested.

Sondreal, Jerome 'Jerry'

MADISON - Jerome 'Jerry' Sondreal, age 61, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at home. He was born on Jan. 15, 1944, in Grand Forks, N.D., the son of Kenneth and Minerva (Knudsvig) Sondreal. Jerry married Carolyn Nelson on July 29, 1967, in Minot, N.D. Together they owned and operated Jerry's Billiards for more than 30 years. He was a member of Monona Grove Businessmen's Association and Zor Shriners. Jerry is survived by his son, Greg (Michelle) Sondreal of McFarland; two daughters, Roxanne (Jay) Brazeau of Verona, and Rebecca Sondreal of Madison; seven grandchildren, Mason, Karlie, Tyler, Ashley, Jacob, Brooks and Regan; a brother, Gerald (Alma) Sondreal of New Mexico; a sister, Mardell (Charles) Sears of Arizona; and four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn; and a grandson, Brett Brazeau. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005. The Rev. Terry Peterson will preside. Vilbrandt, William C.

MADISON/ WESTPORT/ WINDSOR - William C. 'Mr. Bill' Vilbrandt, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005. Bill was born on April 1, 1926, in Harris Township, Ohio, to Carl and Ada Ruth Vilbrandt. He moved to Madison at an early age, attended St. James Grade School and West High School before enlisting in the Marine Corps on March 10, 1944. He trained at Miramar Naval Air Station, served in the Pacific Theater, and fought in the Battle of Okinawa. He was honorably discharged Aug. 11, 1946. Bill married Patricia Kennedy on Jan. 2, 1954, at St. Bernard's, Madison. He worked for Burroughs Adding Machine Company after his discharge from World War II. Unable to ignore his call to serve, Bill joined the Dane County Sheriff's Department as a deputy in 1964 and worked there until his retirement March 1986. After retiring, he enjoyed traveling the world, especially to visit his children and grandchildren. Throughout his life, his passion was playing the piano, for which he was well known. He was an avid gardener and football fan, holding season tickets for Badger football for more than 25 years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Paul and Gerald; and his sister, Mary Glatzel. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; their children, Mary (Dennis) Watrud, Madison; Patrick (Laurie), Seattle, Wash., Jean (Doug) Buhler, East Lansing, Mich., Carol (Rich) Roe, Greenville, Michael, Madison, James (Klaudia Reinken), Berlin, Germany, and Amy (Dan) Brinkman, Pleasant Springs, grandchildren, James and Amalia Watrud, Ryan, Amanda and Emily Vilbrandt, David, Carly and Erik Roe, and Clayton Mork; his brother, Leo (Joan) Vilbrandt, Reedsburg; his sisters-in-law, Frieda (Paul) and Nancy (Gerald); brother-in-law, Walter (Mary) Glatzel; and many loving nieces and nephews. Voss, Kenneth W.

SUN PRAIRIE - Kenneth W. Voss, age 88, passed away on Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born on Nov. 17, 1916, in Minneapolis, Minn., the son of Edward Charles and Elizabeth (Zoch) Voss. Mr. Voss was a longtime resident of the Sun Prairie area. He was employed with Strauss Printing for more than 42 years as a lithographer. During his lifetime he loved to hunt, fish and tend to his gardens. He was a well-known poet amongst his friends, with whom he enjoyed sharing his poetry. Mr. Voss is survived by his daughter, Kathy (William) McAvoy of San Bruno, Calif.; his son, Daniel Lindberg of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Christy and Scott McAvoy; a friend, Ramona Johannes of Madison; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edward John Voss. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at 1 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, with the Rev. Russ Leeper officiating. Wegger, Timothy Mark

MIAMI BEACH, FLA./ MADISON - Timothy Mark Wegger died as a result of an accident on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005. Tim was born in Madison on Feb. 9, 1954. He graduated from LaFollette High School in Madison and served in the United States Army. He later relocated to Milwaukee where he resided for many years. He was most recently living in Miami Beach, where he was working with a construction company and studying the classical arts. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Lucille and Winston Wegger. He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Allen) Hillmer; two brothers, Peter and Chris; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Laurie Daniell. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Zantow, Thomas G.

MADISON - Thomas G. Zantow of Madison, formerly of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Baraboo, died from complications of Parkinson's disease at the Village of Manor Park in West Allis. Tom was born in Baraboo on April 27, 1947, to Lawrence and Helen (Licht) Zantow. He attended Baraboo High School and received an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and a master's from the University of Michigan. Tom had been employed by the Social Security Administration for more than 20 years. Tom is survived by his parents; his son, Dr. Ryan (fiancee Jen) Zantow; two brothers, Stephen (Betty) Zantow and Scott Zantow; a sister, Barbara (Jim) Mayhew; five nieces and nephews, Jessica Zantow, Matthew Zantow, Emily Zantow, Derek Mayhew and Aaron Mayhew; other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Timothy Zantow. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 at ST. MADISON - Edwin C. Zeller, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005. He was born on Nov. 28, 1918, in Madison, the son of John and Edna (Kubley) Zeller. Edwin served in the U.S. Army Air Force for 18 months in Europe during World War II. He married Georgina Brashi on Oct. 11, 1941, in Madison. Edwin worked at Madison Kipp as an inspector for 44 years, retiring in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Georgina; two children, James E. (Mary) Zeller and Betty (Jerry) Stauffer; three grandchildren, Craig (Tricia) Zeller, Elizabeth (Michael) Croasdaile and Alison Zeller; and a sister, Betty Tipler. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Kenneth, Keith and John Zeller. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, 2005. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
